RONCAJA
RONCAGLIA is a small village along the coast at the gates of Pesaro. The surrounding hills, on the edge of the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park, have long been considered the most suitable areas for cultivating Albanella, a native grape traditionally used for the city’s white wine.
Since the early 1970s, using Albanella grapes with a small addition of Pinot Noir vinified in white, Fattoria Mancini has produced a wine called Roncaglia. In 1994, after more than twenty years of production, this wine was awarded the D.O.C. Colli Pesaresi Roncaglia designation.
To preserve the very distinctive characteristics of Albanella, Roncaglia is vinified in steel.
The result is a wine of good structure and great longevity, with aromas and flavors of pronounced freshness, citrus notes, and typical mineral and savory nuances enhanced by the proximity of the sea.
