FOCARA
Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir was introduced to the hills of FOCARA around 1810, during the Napoleonic Empire. The cold climate and calcareous sandstone soil of this cliff on the Adriatic Sea were considered by the French administration ideal for cultivating this fine variety. The Mancini family has preserved and selected the original clones over five generations of winemakers, specializing in the production of premium Pinot Noir.

FOCARA Pinot Noir is produced using traditional red winemaking and then aged in barriques for 12 months. Over the years, the Focara area has been recognized for producing Pinot Noir with strong personality and the typical characteristics of this variety. Today, Focara reflects historic clones perfectly adapted to the territory, with unique traits. The quality and heritage of this wine earned it the DOC Colli Pesaresi Focara Pinot Noir designation in 2000.
