BLU

In 1998, recognizing the potential of an old Ancellotta vineyard, Fattoria Mancini decided to create a wine that would showcase the best characteristics of this variety.

Ancellotta is a grape known for its coloring power and traditionally used only in small percentages to enhance the color of wines made from other varieties. The resulting wine proved very interesting for its deep, opaque color, unique and intense aroma, and significant structure. The indelible traces of its color on the winery floor soon inspired its future name: Blu.
Born in 1998 as a blend with a minimum of 50% Ancellotta, the proportion of this remarkable variety steadily increased over the years, reaching a stable 100% from the 2007 harvest.
